This sliding fall arrester has an automatic locking function and a guide mechanism. This fall arrester moves along the anchor line, accompanying the user while moving up and down the line with no need for any manual intervention and it automatically locks onto the anchor line in case of a fall, with the corresponding dissipation of energy. The dissipation takes place due to the joint action of the sliding fall arrest device and the anchor line.

Characteristics:

• This is a fall arrester for a vertical exible anchoring line of 14 mm ø. It has a safety lock and a system to avoid incorrect placement of the rope. It allows the user to move vertically without having to change position manually. In case of a fall, it locks automatically. It has two parts:

• · Sliding fall arrester The sliding fall arrester has a casing with a cover over it that can only be opened or closed by means of two consecutive and voluntary manual actions. Connection to the fall arrest harness is by means of a 14 mm diameter polyamide rope, linked on one end to the fall arrester, while the other end is attached to the fall protection harness by means of a Climax 30 connector. It can be used only with a 14mm exible anchoring line.

• · Flexible anchoring line It consists of a twisted synthetic bre rope, of 14 mm diameter, with three thimbles. The upper terminal is an eye-shaped end with a transparent plastic cover and red plastic rope thimble.

• Length: From 10 to 100 m length of the rope by sections of 10 meters. (10, 20, 30 m...).
